A Century of Logistics Excellence
In 1918, Francis J. Kane started the Kane Family business — trucking, warehousing, office moving, limousine/bus services, commercial real estate, and interior commercial construction. His nephew, Eugene I. Kane ("E.I."), joined the operation and after 12 years as COO ventured out in 1969 to start the E.I. Kane Company.
Capitol Express, Inc. and Capitol Warehousing, Inc. were founded in 1982 with the mission to become a first-class, one-stop comprehensive transportation provider for manufacturers, shippers, freight forwarders, and freight brokers.
In 2019, Richard Kane successfully exited the limousine/bus industry after growing the company to 200 employees and 140 vehicles. In 2021, The Kane Group acquired Capitol Express and Warehousing, bringing together over 100 years of combined industry experience under one roof.
